Jewelry Repair Class

Program #1: Jewelry Repair Class is our 5‑day intensive designed to give you shop‑ready repair skills you can put to work immediately. Over one structured week, we guide you at the bench through the same tasks we perform for real clients every day. You are not watching from a distance; your hands are on the tools from the first morning, with an instructor beside you.
We begin with metal soldering and joining so you understand how to restore and strengthen worn or broken settings. You will practice directing heat, using the right solders, and cleaning your joins so they are structurally sound and visually clean. From there, we move into ring resizing methods, teaching you how to take rings up or down accurately while keeping settings aligned and shanks even.
Stone setting for repairs is another core focus. You will learn how to tighten loose stones, replace missing ones, and rebuild worn prongs so pieces leave your bench secure and attractive. We also cover chain repair: re‑soldering links, and troubleshooting delicate chains so you can confidently say "yes" to the most common customer requests.
Each repaired piece is brought to a professional finish. You will gain practical experience in polishing and finishing techniques that remove scratches, soften file marks, and restore a brilliant shine without rounding details. Every step is done by hand-no computers or automated fabrication-so you develop true bench confidence.
Supplies are included, and class size is small enough for steady one‑on‑one guidance. By the end of the week, you will understand not just what to do, but why each method works, giving you the foundation to offer reliable repair services in a store, studio, or your own small business in or beyond Jupiter, Florida, USA.
